Kathy Bolhous, Chairman and CEO, Charter Next Generation (CNG)
"State of the Flexible Packaging Industry"
8:30 am-9:30 am, Monday, April 11, 2022
The Flexible Packaging Industry has experienced an unanticipated convergence of drivers over the last several years. While the continuing drivers of collection and recyclability challenged the increased incorporation of renewable and recycled content, COVID19 drove demand for more protective packaging of food that maintains not only freshness and quality, but also cleanliness and security. Meanwhile, the supply chain bulged with increased demands for eCommerce and ‘to your door’ packaging while simultaneously facing increased disruptions across the segments that use flexible packaging. The combination of these drivers added energy to an already dynamic industry. This presentation will provide insight into flexible packaging’s issues and opportunities now and in the future.
